STORY
Even though you can’t see their smiles, you can feel the joy! The joy of sharing God’s compassion to neighbors in need of a little hope and a lot of God’s grace.
Thanks to George and Stephanie, co-owners of Savory Salads, Over 1,000 meals were lovingly prepared and delivered through our network of volunteers. More than just a meal, each delivery included a prayer, an encouraging word, and an invitation to a local church. Volunteers from The Orchard-Barrington campus, The Bridge, Crossroads Community, Alpine Chapel, and Salem Methodist met together on the common ground of Christ to love our neighbors as ourselves.
Social Impact
Food insecurity is one of the top three concerns of our neighbors. According to the United Way of Lake County, the interest in food pantries has increased by 395% since the COVID-19 crisis.
